"Paramount has tapped Frank Borin to direct the feature adaptation of The Butcherhouse Chronicles for Platinum Dunes. Penned by Michael Hidalgo, the film is a darkly comic horror stage show about four high school students out to discover the truth behind a mysterious old property known as the Butcherhouse. It premiered in New York in 2006. Borin has been attached to direct Lionsgate's "Kidnapped." He's also directed music videos for Good Charlotte and Breaking Benjamin."

Producer Peter Block, who you can thank for the SAW films, THE DEVIL'S REJECTS and a trio of upcoming horror films, THE MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN, REPO! THE GENETIC OPERA and THE BURROWERS.
Block is now out on his own, and it was announced today that Block has launched a film company that will produce the genre films he oversaw as longtime prexy of acquisitions and co-productions at Lionsgate.
The venture -- which takes its name from the classic line from "Jaws" -- sets course with a co-financing and distribution deal with Overture Films that covers North America and another with Alliance Films covering the U.K., Spain, Italy and Scandinavia, according to Variety.
The Overture and Alliance arrangements position Block to have at least 50% of the financing on genre films that will cost between $10 million and $25 million. Block will use those contracts as collateral to underwrite the film budgets and said the clout of his... [Read More]

**Hey everyone, just posting a friendly reminder of ways you can help keep MS going, and an update on MS merchandise and MS Films**
Right now we are waiting on our new business cards and buttons, but we do have some MS pencils(about 35 left) and more being ordered this week.So if you want some pencils, PM me your address and as we get them, i'll send them. We also have a few MS bumper stickers, but only like 5 right now. I have a few people i'll be sending those to, but once we get more made you can just request stickers.
MS Films is also in pre-production on its first film entitled "Undead Devotion" - In this emotional journey through a town overrun by the undead, one young couple will have to overcome many obstacles that will test their strength, love and devotion to each other if they are to make it out alive.

If anyone would like to tryout for a voice role in the zombie short film we are making, please feel free to send in an audition!!!
The role will be a radio news caster making a statement about an explosion that released a virus cause the zombie outbreak. All you have to do is record your self reciting the transcript below and either attach a link to it in a post, message me, or Email it to ReZombie@aol.com
If you are picked to do the role, you will get a credit in the film and a copy of the film on DVD.
